CONSULAR MOBILE SERVICES IN YANBU SERVES MORE THAN 100;
FILIPINOS IN YANBU APPLY FOR THE ePASSPORT
FOR THE FIRST TIME
On 12-13 May 2011, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia conducted its Consular Mobile Services (CMS) for the year 20110 in Yanbu, K.S.A., 367 kms. from Jeddah. The two-day activity was able to serve some 123 Filipinos in the area, and was able to process 100 ePassport applications, 12 passport validity extension with pay, 13, gratis passport validity extensions, 8 notarials and 3 certifications.
The success of the CMS was made possible thru the coordination, cooperation and hard work of the Consular Mobile Team composed of Vice Consul Mary Jennifer Dingal (Team Leader), Ms. Cecilia Nuguit, Mr. Camaloden Guro, Ms. Joginder Capapas-Jacinto, Mr. Camama Mandangan, Jr. and the able assistance from Mr. Reynaldo Vicencio, Yanbu Coordinator, and other volunteers from the Filipino community.
Representatives from POLO-OWWA, Jeddah also joined the consular team, namely, Labatt Vicente Cabe, Welfare Officer Benny Reyes, Mr. Ian Anthony Basil, Mr. Edgar Paredes and Mr. Abdulbasir Sua. Pag-Ibig Fund Representative Mr. Ruben Galamay and Mr. Muqrin Lomondot, also joined the Consular Mobile Team.
At the end of the activity, the Consular Team conveyed its gratitude to Mr. Reynaldo Vicencio, Yanbu Filipino Community Coordinator and other volunteers for their untiring assistance and participation. The Consulate looks forward to the next CMS in Yanbu in the coming year.
