REVISED PROCEDURES IN APPLYING FOR A SAUDI POLICE CLEARANCE FOR FORMER FILIPINO WORKERS OR RESIDENTS
With reference to the attached Circular Memo No. 91/74/23285 dated 4 September 2011 from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Office of the Deputy Minister for Consular Affairs), the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah would like to advice all Filipino workers or residents of Saudi Arabia to obtain a Saudi Police Clearance from concerned police authorities before going on a final exit or leaving Saudi Arabia for good.
For former Filipino workers and residents in Saudi Arabia who would like to obtain a Police Clearance, the procedures are as follows:
- File a request for a Saudi Police Clearance through the Philippine Embassy or Consulate of their place of legal residence. The said request must be accompanied by a duly-accomplished Fingerprinting Card.
- The concerned Philippine Embassy or Consulate shall send the request and Fingerprinting Card to the Philippine Embassy or Consulate is Saudi Arabia.
- The Philippine Embassy or Consulate shall prepare a Note Verbale on the request for a Saudi Police Clearance.
- The Philippine Embassy or Consulate shall have the said Note Verbale authenticated by the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- The duly authorized representative of the Philippine Embassy or Consulate shall follow the request with concerned authorities in Saudi Arabia suing the following documents:
- Note Verbale,
- Fingerprinting Card,
- copy of Iqama of applicant,
- copy of passport of applicant, and
- personal photos of applicant.
