The Philippine Consulate General has always been in the forefront in assisting Philippine Universities in conducting the following entrance examinations:
UPCAT
Pursuant to fax message dated 08 September 2009 from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, the Philippine Consulate General issued Circular No. EHT-003/2009 informing all accredited Philippine schools in the Western Region of the Kingdom that the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, will be conducting the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) at the International Philippine School Jeddah (I.P.S.J.) on Tuesday, 17 November 2009. Through this circular, parents and students were able to get in touch with Mr. Mohammad Issa Carlos de Leon, the School Principal concerning the aforesaid examination.
USTET
Likewise, on 30 September 2009, the Consulate issued Circular No. EHT-005/2009 to the Filipino community informing interested parents and fourth year high school students that the USTET (UST Entrance Test) will be administered at the Gems International School, Jeddah on Thursday, 29 October 2009. The circular stated that application forms and other requirements for the examination must be submitted to Ms. Violeta Castillo, Principal of Gems International Schoo, on or before 2 October 2009 or they may inquire from Ms. Castillo’s office at telephone no. 02 674 8483.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Makkah Al- Mukarramah Branch presents its compliments to all the Consulates, International Organizations and Commissions, Jeddah.
Reference to the Ministry’s Circular No. 91/83/201/335/24 dated 02/01/1425 regarding the hosting of parties and arts and cultural activities and the importance of informing the Ministry of the schedule of these activities by enough time for security purposes. If it was not informed about such activities it will cause embarrassment and the inability of the concerned authorities to perform their duties. This cause the delay of the duties and functions of the security forces to act and facilitate the traffic for the invitees who will attend these activities.
The Ministry reiterates what was mentioned in the circular mentioned above and hoping for the good cooperation in case of hosting such parties and cultural activities to inform the ministry about each party hosted by the missions, and for the parties hosted by the communities so their request must be filed to the Governor’s Office of its region. These are some instructions to follow:
1- The parties and activities of the Consulates, the request to be submitted to this Ministry.
2- The parties and activities of the communities, the request must be submitted to the Governor’s Office of their region.
3- There must be an enough period between submitting the request and hosting the activity/party (minimum one month to two weeks).
