Philippine business representatives hold Business-to-Business matching event with members of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Jeddah, 12 February 2019 – A Philippine business delegation led by Consul General Edgar Badajos held a business-to-business (B2B) matching event with members of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) on 10 February 2019.
JCCI Vice Chairman Mr. Mazen Batterjee led the Chamber in welcoming Consul General Badajos and the Philippine business delegation. In brief opening remarks, Mr. Mazen noted that “Philippine goods and services in Saudi market are flourishing and we are happy to continue to explore business deals with the Philippines and its people.” Consul General Badajos responded by thanking the JCCI for hosting the B2B event and emphasizing the bright trade and investment opportunities awaiting foreign businessmen and investors in the Philippines. He also noted that the Philippine business delegation is “very happy to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities with members of the JCCI.”
During the open forum, Ms. Charmaine Yalong, Commercial Attaché of the Philippines based in Dubai, gave step-by-step information on how to start a business in the Philippines for those who are thinking along this line.
The meeting concluded with a display of the different products that the Philippine business representatives had brought with them, including coco-water, different types of sauces and condiments, and beauty and skin-care products.
Both the JCCI members and the Philippine business delegation expressed optimism for stronger business ties that the Philippines and the Kingdom already have cemented through the years. END
