JEDDAH PCG HOLDS MONTH-LONG CELEBRATION OF OFW MONTH THIS DECEMBER

(Jeddah, 10 December 2018) – This whole month of December, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia joins the entire Filipino nation in celebrating OFW Month to honor of the contributions of OFWs to national development and recognize their hard-work and sacrifice for their families and loved ones.

The celebration of OFW Month began with the first-ever State of Post Address (SOPA) held at the Consulate General Grounds on 6 December, with the theme, “Pagbabagong mula sa puso, dama ng Bawat Pilipino.” During the SOPA, Consul General Edgar Badajos reported the accomplishments of the Consulate in 2018. He thanked the Filipino community in the Western Region for their unwavering support for the programs, projects and initiatives of the Consulate. Awards were also given to deserving Filipino community organizations and individuals in recognition of their service and dedication to the Filipino community in the Western region.

Various Filipino community organizations, in cooperation with the Consulate, have lined-up the following events which will be held at the Consulate in celebration of OFW Month:
