PINOY FIESTA 2018 KICKS OFF AT LULU HYPERMARKET
(Jeddah, 30 October 2018) – Philippine consulate officials led by Consul General Edgar Badajos and several members of the Filipino community in Jeddah graced the opening of the annual Pinoy Fiesta at LuLu Hypermarket located at Amir Fawaz District in Jeddah on 30 October 2018.
Consul General Badajos is welcomed by LuLu Hypermarket’s top management.
Consul General Edgar Badajos expressed his appreciation to the management of LuLu Hypermarket for their initiative in holding the festival which showcases a rich diversity of high-quality Filipino food products ranging from fresh fruits, snacks, meat products, seafoods, bread, cakes, sweets, pastries, beverages, and traditional Filipino dishes
He added that by organizing the festival, LuLu Hypermarket was helping to promote and popularize Philippine products in the local Saudi market. The superstore directly imports its merchandise from the source. “By directly importing Filipino products from the Philippines, LuLu is therefore supporting also Filipino workers employed by the companies who export these products,” said Consul General Badajos.

The Lulu Hypermarket chain and retail company, which started in the United Arab Emirates, already has three (e) branches in Jeddah. Very recently, it opened a warehouse in Bulacan where they could store and consolidate items the company plans to bring to the Middle East and other countries.
