WHO WANTS TO BE A FUTURE DIPLOMAT?
DFA ANNOUNCES
2019 FOREIGN SERVICE OFFICER (FSO) EXAMINATIONS
(8 October 2018, Jeddah) – Who wants to be a future diplomat? If you want to become a future diplomat, now is your chance to work towards this dream.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has announced the holding of the 2019 Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Examinations to recruit candidates for appointment to the position of Foreign Service Officer, Class IV (FSO IV). FSO IV is the entry position for future Philippine diplomats.
The FSO Examination is open to any Filipino citizen with a four-year college degree or higher. It is composed of five (5) parts, namely: Qualifying Test; Preliminary Interview; Written Test; Psychological Test; and, Oral Test. There is no prescribed age limit in order to take the exam.
The Qualifying Test is scheduled on 27 January 2019 and will cover: Verbal Ability; Analytical Ability; Numerical Ability; and, Managerial Ability at designated testing centers all over the country. The schedule for subsequent tests shall be announced on a later date.
Applicants for the examination must be knowledgeable in the economic, political, and social conditions of the Philippines, and must possess, not only facility in oral or written communications but also the traits essential to the performance of the duties of a Foreign Service Officer. Furthermore, candidates who pas the examination must be willing and able to accept assignment to any post where their services may be required.
Interested applicants shall submit their duly-accomplished application forms and documentary requirements in person at any Consular Office, Philippine Embassy or Consulate General abroad not later than 29 November 2018, or at the BFSE Secretariat, Second Floor, DFA Main Building, 2330 Roxas Blvd., Pasay City on or before 6 December 2018.
