MORE THAN 46,000 OVERSEAS VOTERS FROM

WESTERN REGION OF SAUDI ARABIA CAN VOTE FOR

SENATORS AND PARTY-LIST REPRESENTATIVES IN 2019

(Jeddah, 1 October 2018) – More than 46,000 overseas voters from the Western Region of Saudi Arabia can vote for Senators and party-list representatives in national elections to be held next year.

According to Consul General Edgar Badajos, the highest number of registered overseas voters in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia came from Jeddah with 38,406 registrants, followed by Abha-Khamis Mushayt in the south (3,114) and Tabuk in the north (1,287). In total, the Consulate General registered 46,168 from western Saudi Arabia, up from 40,365 overseas voters who registered in 2016.

Registration for overseas voting ended on 30 September 2018.
