PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN JEDDAH RENDERS FULL RANGE OF CONSULAR SERVICES TO THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN YANBU AND PROMOTES OVERSEAS VOTING REGISTRATION
Jeddah, 15 September 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah successfully rendered a full range of services to Filipinos in Yanbu in the Al Madinah Province of Saudi Arabia during its 9th Consular Mobile Services (CMS) in 2018 at the Yanbu Avenue Hotel on 14 to 15 September 2018.
Yanbu, roughly 330 kilometers away from Jeddah, is a major port city with a bustling industrial center where most Filipinos work in factories and plants, while others serve as teachers, nurses, and members of the service industry.

The CMS team, led by Consul General Edgar B. Badajos, included representatives from the Consulate’s Assistance-to-Nationals and Consular sections, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), PAG-IBIG, and Social Security Services (SSS).
Consul General Badajos officially opened the CMS and assured all the Filipinos present that services will be delivered efficiently. “Kami ay nandito upang ihatid sa inyo ang iba’t-ibang serbisyo ng konsulado. Hindi niyo na kailangang magbiyahe ng apat na oras para makapag renew ng pasaporte, magkonsulta tungkol sa inyong mga kontrata, o magtanong tungkol sa inyong SSS, Pag-ibig o OWWA memberships,” Consul General Badajos said in his opening remarks.
