PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN JEDDAH AND THE OFFICE OF THE SOCIAL WELFARE ATTACHE LAUNCH THE SEARCH FOR THE 2018 HUWARANG OVERSEAS PAMILYA PILIPINO AWARD IN THE WESTERN REGION OF SAUDI ARABIA
(Jeddah, 04 July 2018) – The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, through the Office of the Social Welfare Attaché in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) launched the search for the 2018 Huwarang Overseas Pamilya Pilipino Award (HOPPA) in the Western region of Saudi Arabia.
The HOPPA aims to recognize and pay tribute to an OFW family in the Western region of Saudi Arabia that has maintained strong family ties, demonstrated traditional Filipino values, and created a positive impact in the community where they live, local and overseas, in spite of the many challenges of living abroad.
The contest is open to every OFW family in the Western region of KSA. Any OFW or Filipino community organization in the Western region of KSA may nominate an OFW family for the Award. The winning OFW family will receive a Plaque of Recognition, cash award, and other incentives to be presented during the celebration of the Family Week in the last week of September 2018.
All nominations with supporting documents must be submitted to the Office of the Social Welfare Attache, 2nd Floor, Building 4, at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah. The deadline for the submission of nominations is on 26 August 2018.
Those who wish to participate and nominate a family may get a copy of the official nomination forms from the Philippine Consulate General website (www.jeddahpcg.dfa.gov.ph) or the Office of the Social Welfare Attaché located at the 2nd floor, Building 4 of the Philippine Consulate. END
