Philippine Government Gives Financial Assistance to Filipino Stabbing Victim In Madinah

11 June 2018, Jeddah – Acting upon instructions of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah today gave OFW Rolando P. Mina, the stabbing victim in Madinah, financial assistance for his medical and personal expenses while he is recuperating from his wounds.

OFW Mina, a nurse working at the Al-Mouwasat Hospital, was stabbed by a Saudi national while he was on duty at the hospital emergency room on 17 May 2018. The Consulate has retained the services of a Saudi law firm to represent OFW Mina in the ongoing investigation of the stabbing incident. END
