Jeddah, 23 May 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General signed a Memorandum of Agreement with another courier company for the latter to be able to offer its services to OFWs within the vicinity of the Consulate. Consul General Edgar Badajos signed for the Consulate while Mr. Hani Shaker K. Jawdah, Retail Sales Manager, represented DHL.

provisions of the MOA as Vice Consul Lemuel Lopez (rightmost) looks on.
Through the MOA, courier service companies are given a space in the Consulate General’s waiting area to offer their services. This will make it more convenient for OFWs, especially those outside Jeddah, to collect their new passports and other consular documents. The documents will be conveniently delivered to their home or office by the courier company. Payments for the courier company’s services, however, will still be done outside the Consulate.

The Consulate General already signed a MOA with LBC. Other courier service companies in Saudi Arabia have also expressed their intention to offer their services at the Consulate. END
