PHILIPPINE ConsulATE AND JEDDAH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OFFICIALS MEET TO STRENGTHEN TRADE TIES BETWEEN PH and K.S.A
Jeddah, 21 May 2018 - Consul General Edgar Badajos led Consulate Officials in a meeting with officials of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) led by Messrs. Mazen M. Batterjee and Ziad Bassam Al-Bassam, both Vice Chairmen of the Chamber. During the meeting, both sides discussed ways on how to further strengthen trade relations between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The conduct of trade fairs and missions focusing on food and pharmaceuticals products were initial projects discussed during the meeting. Both sides agreed that there is still a big opportunity to strengthen trade between the Philippines and K.S.A. They promised to continue discussions on specific projects which can be implemented within the year.

The Consulate General also invited Mr. Paul Antiporda of the National Palm Trading and General Contracting Co. to join the Philippine delegation in the meeting to boost private sector participation in promoting economic diplomacy. END
