Consul General BADAJOS CALLS ON DIRECTOR GENERAL OF OFFICE IN CHARGE OF REPATRIATING FOREIGN NATIONALS

Jeddah, 17 May 2018 - Consul General Edgar Badajos paid an introductory courtesy call on Col. Osama Abumelha, Director General of te General Services Center of the Passport Department (Jawazat) in Al Shumaisy in the outskirts of Jeddah today. Jawazat is the Saudi office primarily responsible for facilitating the repatriation of foreign nationals who have cleared their legal and immigration problems in Saudi Arabia.

Consul General Badajos thanked Col. Osama for the support of Jawazat General in facilitating the repatriation of undocumented Filipinos. He recalled the support provided by the Jawazat in the repatriation of more than 5,000 undocumented Filipinos during the 2017 amnesty.

Col. Osama replied that they are always ready to help the Consulate General to address the concerns of FIlipino nationals. He added that despite the shortened work hours during Ramadan, the General Services Center is still operating on a 24 hour basis and will continue to process the repatriation of undocumented workers endorsed to the Center.
