PCG JEDDAH DEPLOYS ONE-COUNTRY TEAM TO RENDER A FULL-RANGE OF CONSULAR AND ASSISTANCE-TO-NATIONALS SERVICES IN NAJRAN DESPITE RECENT MISSILE ATTACKS
(Jeddah, 06 May 2018) – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah successfully rendered a full-range of services to Filipinos in Najran City and the Najran Region of Saudi Arabia during its 7th Consular Mobile Services (CMS) for 2018 at the Al-Okhdood Hotel on 04 to 05 May 2018. The Consulate rendered consular services in Najran despite recent missile attacks by Houthi rebels from neighboring Yemen. Najran is the south-most province of Saudi Arabia. It borders Yemen on the South.
Consulate personnel captures the information of passport applicants for new and renewing applicants.
The CMS team, led by Consul General Edgar B. Badajos, included representatives from the Consulate’s Assistance-to-Nationals and Consular sections, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), PAG-IBIG, and Social Security Services (SSS).
PAG-IBIG, SSS, and DSWD representatives provide their respective services to Filipinos.
In the course of the two (2) day event, the Consular Team brought passport, civil registration, authentication, and notarial services closer to the Filipino citizens of Najran and neighboring areas. The Najran Region is home to about 7,850 Filipinos.
A team from the Consulate’s Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Section also joined the CMS. END
