Seeing the potential of the Saudi market, Consul General Badajos recommended to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), for greater exposure of Philippine food products in the Kingdom, through the participation of Philippine business groups in the major food exhibitions in Jeddah. These include the Foodex Saudi scheduled on 12 to 15 November 2018 also at the Jeddah Center for Forum and Events and “Saudi Food” next year. “Philippine food products, especially organic and healthy halal products, have a lot of potential to be patronized in the Saudi market due to the growing Saudi population as well as increasing awareness on health concerns” Consul General Badajos said.
