CONSUL GENERAL BADAJOS MAKES INTRODUCTORY CALL ON THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE SAUDI MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, MAKKAH BRANCH

19 February 2018 - Consul General Edgar B. Badajos paid an introductory courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Jamal Bakor Balkhoyor, Director General of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Makkah Al Mukaramah Branch). Consul General Badajos thanked Director General Balkhoyor for the Ministry’s support to the Philippine Consulate General in looking after the welfare of Filipinos in the Western Region. Director General Balkhoyor, for his part, said that the Ministry is always ready to assist the Consulate General.  The Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia covers seven (7) provinces, including Madinah (Medina) and Makkah (Mecca).  There are an estimated 235,000 Overseas Filipinos in the Western Region, with the majority of them residing in the Makkah area.
