(09 October 2016, Jeddah) – On Wednesday, 05 October 2016, Philippine Consul General in Jeddah, H.E. Imelda M. Panolong, received at her office H.E. Mohammed Saripudin, new Consul General of Indonesia in Jeddah.

Consul General Panolong conveyed her congratulation to H.E. Saripudin on his appointment as the new Consul General of Indonesia.  She also expressed her appreciation on the call and recounted fond memories on her assignment to Jakarta as Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General from 2011 to 2013.

Consul General Saripudin, who just arrived in Jeddah on 03 October 2016 to assume as head of the mission, thanked Consul General Panolong for accepting this requested courtesy visit even within his first week of assuming his post.   

During the meeting, both officials also discussed various issues of mutual interest between the two countries, including the protection and promotion of the interest and welfare of their respective communities in Jeddah and the Western region of Saudi Arabia. END
