Jeddah PCG holds “#YOLO₱H: You Only Live Once With Cash,” a financial literacy and empowerment webinar series

JEDDAH 26 September 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, in its goal to further educate the Filipino community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Western Region, organized “#YOLO₱H: You Only Live Once with Cash,” a financial empowerment webinar in partnership with the Land Bank of the Philippines, Coins.ph, and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, held on 21 August 2024, 22 August 2024, and 26 September 2024, respectively, via Zoom platform.

Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) through its representatives, Mr. Mark Raymond N. Papa, Marketing Officer and Mr. John Brent C. Celzo, Assistant Marketing Officer, opened the webinar series on 21 August 2024 with a talk on the topic entitled, “Serving the Nation with Financial Education.” The webinar of LBP focused on financial literacy education, informaiton on the Go Bayani Savings account, and online services available with the bank’s mobile applications.

Coins.ph through Ms. Jen Bilango, Country Manager provided a webinar on Crypto 101 on 22 August 2024. Ms. Bilango’s webinar focused on the history of crypto currency and the benefits of using stablecoins as a form of investment.

The last installation of the webinar was conducted by Ms. Chona Malabanan of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on 26 September 2024 who gave a talk on “Personal Financial Management,” including practical tips on how to save and invest money for future financial stability.

Aside from Post’s Facebook followers, Post’s personnel and the members of various Filipino community organizations in Jeddah and the Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the webinar series. END
