No major issues plagued the arrival of the initial Filipino pilgrims in Madinah. The Philippine Missions in Saudi Arabia expects 5,100 pilgrims to participate in this year’s Hajj. The Hajj is an annual pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah, the two holiest cities for Muslims, making it a significant component of the bilateral relations between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
