Lulu’s Amazing ASEAN Festival in Jeddah

Jeddah, 06 September 2023 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, led by Consul General Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian, Consul General Yusron B. Ambary of Indonesia, and Consul Maisarah Ariffin of Malaysia, along with top officials from Lulu Hypermarket, graced the opening of the week-long “Amazing ASEAN Festival” on 06 September 2023, at the Lulu Hypermarket, Madinah Road branch, Jeddah.

Sections offering 1,000 products from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) were featured, highlighting numerous food and non-food products which bring a taste of home for ASEAN nationals living in Jeddah and the Western Region.

A ceremonial ribbon cutting was done to formally start the festival, following a tour of the country-specific sections of the festival, a cultural show, and a cake cutting at the end of the formal program. For the Philippines, around 500 products were featured during the festival, including chips, noodles, condiments, bread and fresh fruits. Iconic dishes from respective ASEAN member countries were also served to guests of the festival. END
