Consul General Auxilian Inducts New Officers of OFW Jizan

Consul General Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian led the swearing-in of a new set of officers of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Community in Jizan on 16 June 2023. The event also served as a celebration of Philippine Independence Day for the Filipinos in the city and the surrounding areas.

In his brief address during the ceremony, Consul General Auxilian exhorted the overseas Filipinos present to honor and value the sacrifices of our heroes and forebears who fought hard for the freedoms that Filipinos everywhere enjoy today. The Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Community in Jizan expressed their appreciation to Jeddah PCG for conducting the consular mission in Jizan.

Jizan is the capital and the largest city of the Jizan Region, which is located in the southern part of Saudi Arabia and is close to Yemen. END
