Jeddah PCG welcomes 33 Filipino Evacuees from Port Sudan
20 June 2023 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG) welcomed another batch of thirty-three (33) Filipino evacuees from Port Sudan who arrived in Jeddah, KSA, earlier today through King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) - Hajj Terminal. The group included former Labor Attaché Adam Mussa, a staff from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and three (3) minor children.
The said evacuees were welcomed by Jeddah PCG’s Evacuation Team headed by Consul Lemuel C. Lopez. They were also provided with consular assistance such as issuance of travel documents, exit visas, and psychosocial counselling, among others.
The evacuees, including former Labor Attaché Musa and the DMW staff, will depart from Jeddah later today, 20 June 2023, and are expected to arrive in Manila on 21 June 2023 onboard Malaysian Airlines Flight No. MH 806. END
