PCG JEDDAH CONDUCTS CONSULAR MOBILE OUTREACH TO FILIPINOS IN TAIF, KSA
As part of its efforts to bring consular services closer to the Filipino community under its jurisdiction, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (PCG Jeddah) conducted a consular mobile outreach to Filipinos in Taif at the Safari / OYO Hotel on 21 to 22 October 2022.
The Jeddah PCG consular team attend to various services during the consular outreach at the Safari / Oyo Hotel Function Hall, Taif.
Led by Vice Consul Lemuel C. Lopez, the consular team was composed of consular and assistance-to-nationals staff members, as well as representatives from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (POLO-OWWA) and Social Security Services (SSS).
The consular team was able to render a total of 135 consular services, which included passports, civil registration and authentication / notarial services to members of the Filipino community in Taif and nearby provinces. Philippine passports were also released to those who made prior arrangements with the Consulate. There were also a total of 146 labor-related services provided by POLO-OWWA and 120 services by the SSS representative, respectively.

Atty. Fawzia Asad A. Al Ansari, a representative from the Tebyan Law Firm, Jeddah PCG’s legal retainer for ATN cases, was also present, and assisted in attending to 16 ATN / legal cases during the CMS.
Taif, is a mountain city located 170 kilometers away south of Jeddah where around 6,670 Filipinos are residing. [END]
