Consul General Edgar Auxilian Makes a Courtesy Call to HRH Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of Makkah Region

Consul General Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian paid a courtesy call to His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of Makkah Region, on 5 October 2022.

Consul General Auxilian and His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal discussed matters of interest between the two countries, particularly the welfare of overseas Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia and the establishment of the Department of Migrant Workers. Consul General Auxilian also expressed his congratulations for the success of the Hajj this year, the first in two years since the pandemic started. His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal assured Consul General Auxilian that they stand ready to assist the Consulate General in its endeavors to strengthen the relations between the Philippines and Saudi Arabia.

His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud is a graduate of the University of Oxford. A patron of the visual arts and a close friend of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud is also the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and King of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
