Jeddah PCG Promotes West Philippine Sea (WPS) Awareness to Filipino Students in Jeddah

29 September 2022, Jeddah, KSA - As part of its commemoration of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA-MO) in September 2022, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah led by Consul General Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian, conducted a short interaction with the students of the International Philippines School in Jeddah (IPSJ) to promote awareness of the West Philippines Sea (WPS) as well as the importance of preserving and protecting of our marine environment.

Consul General Auxilian, together with some members of the Jeddah PCG, distributed copies of “Ang WPS, si Miguel, Atbp.”, a comic book promoting awareness of the West Philippines Sea, which is part of the Philippine territory. The comic book was distributed to the students of the International Philippines School in Jeddah (IPSJ) with the assistance of IPSJ Principal, Ms. Miracle F. Tapado. The students received the copies of the comic book with so much excitement and gladness to learn about the West Philippine Sea.

Consul General Auxilian expressed his appreciation to Principal Tapado for the opportunity and support the school extended to the event. He was then given a tour of the IPSJ campus to see the improvements instituted and implemented in the school facilities as required by the Saudi authorities.
