Jeddah PCG Teams Up with PPO-WRSA in Coastal Cleanup Drive as Part of MANA-MO Commemoration

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah joined hands with the Philippine Professional Organization of the Western Region of Saudi Arabia (PPO-WRSA) in the conduct of a coastal cleanup drive at the Buhairat Public Beach in the western region of Saudi Arabia, on 30 September 2022.

With the objective of promoting awareness on marine environment protection, the coastal cleanup drive was spearheaded by PPO-WRSA and supported by the Consulate General as part of the commemoration and promotion of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA-MO) campaign for the month of September 2022. The Jeddah PCG team was led by Vice Consul Jeremiah Attento.

In his short message, Vice Consul Attento emphasized the importance of caring for our seas and expressed his desire and hope that efforts toward environmental protection would not only be a yearly commemorative activity but be embedded amongst Filipinos as a daily routine.

The Philippine Professional Organization in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia (PPO-WRSA), an umbrella of organizations from other licensed professions in the Western Region, which includes nurses, doctors, and engineers, etc. is headed by Engr. Dominador Poquiz, Jr. END
