CONSUL GENERAL AUXILIAN PAYS COURTESY CALL ON ACTING GOVERNOR OF JEDDAH AND ADVISOR TO THE GOVERNOR OF MAKKAH REGION

22 November 2021, Jeddah – Consul General Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian today paid a courtesy call on His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Advisor to the Governor of Makkah Region and Acting Governor of Jeddah.

During the call, Consul General Auxilian thanked the Governor for the hospitality and generosity extended by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Filipino nationals, particularly in providing protection and assistance to Filipino residents, and in ensuring their safety and security amid the health pandemic. Consul General Auxilian lauded the Saudi government’s efforts in vaccinating its citizens and non-Saudi residents, including Filipinos.

H.H. Prince Jalawi assured the Consul General of the support of his office in addressing the concerns of Filipinos as he acknowledged the contribution of Filipinos in the Kingdom. H.H. Jalawi likewise recognized the big number of Filipino nurses and cargo ship crew members who have been providing excellent services in the Kingdom. The Acting Governor said that the Saudi government has been working hand-in-hand in order to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030, where Filipinos in Jeddah and the whole Kingdom are also part of.

Towards the end of the call, Consul General Auxilian committed to remind Filipinos in Jeddah and other parts of the Western Region to continue to be law-abiding residents of the Kingdom and to follow local rules and regulations as they contribute to the overall development of Jeddah and the entire Saudi Arabia. -END-
