JEDDAH PCG AS ACGC COORDINATOR LEADS FAREWELL DINNER FOR OUTGOING DEAN OF THE CONSULAR CORPS IN JEDDAH
27 October 2021, Jeddah – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG), in its capacity as Coordinator of the Asian Consuls General Club (ACGC), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Singapore with its Consul General Mr. Raziff Aljuneid as the new Dean of Consular Corps in Jeddah, organized a Farewell Dinner for H.E. Mr. Ali Bin Mohammed Al-Ayashi, former Consul General of the Republic of Yemen in Jeddah and Dean of the Consular Corps in Jeddah, on 26 October at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Jeddah.

ACGC Coordinator Consul General Edgar Tomas Auxilian, in his message, thanked Consul General Al-Ayashi for his untiring support of ACGC’s regular cultural initiatives including the Annual Asian Film Festival and Asian Food Festival, and wished him well in his new endeavors back at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yemen and his next foreign service posting. “The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah and the ACGC will extend the same support to the new Consul General of Yemen in Jeddah, H.E. Mr. Alawi Mohamed Abdulkader Bafaqih, as well as to the new Dean of the Consular Corps in Jeddah, Consul General Raziff Aljuneid of Singapore. We look forward to a sustained robust relations among ACGC member countries, all the consular missions in Jeddah, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Makkah Branch,” Consul General Auxilian added.
At the end of the program, honoree Consul General Al-Ayashi was awarded a plaque of appreciation by the ACGC, which was handed out by Consul General Auxilian and Consul General Raziff Aljuneid of Singapore and new Dean of the Consular Corps in Jeddah.

The ACGC, conceived in 2005, is a grouping of 13 Asian Consulates General in Jeddah, including Bangladesh, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Since its inception, the Club has been conducting cultural promotion activities such as an Asian Film Festival, Asian Food Festival, and various sports tournaments. ---END---
