Jeddah PCG Personnel win silver medals in ASEAN Hajj Consuls Badminton and Volleyball Tournament

19 October 2021 – Finance Officer Jabar C. Guro and Consular Assistant & Attaché Melvin C. Saromines of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah won second place in badminton during the ASEAN Hajj Consuls Badminton and Volleyball Tournament organized by the Indonesian Consulate in Jeddah on 15-16 October 2021. The event was participated in by personnel from the ASEAN diplomatic missions in Jeddah including Brunei-Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

During the closing ceremonies of the tournament, Consul General Eko Hartono of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jeddah thanked the participants and commended the continuous friendly relations of ASEAN member states. He further added that he wishes to see more similar activities in the near future with other Consulates General in the Kingdom.

PH Consul General Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian and other Consul Generals of the ASEAN Consulates were in attendance during the closing ceremonies. The Indonesian Hajj Consulate hosted dinner for the officials of the ASEAN Consulates and participants of the tournament after the awarding ceremony. – END
