Two Filipinas Win Medals at the 2021 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Youth World Championships in Jeddah KSA
11 October 2021 – Two young Filipinos brought home medals in the recently concluded 2021 International Federation (IWF) Youth World Championships in Jeddah, KSA. Ms. Rose Jean A. Ramos won 2 gold medals in the Snatch & Total Category and 1 silver medal for the Clean & Jerk Category. Ms. Jeaneth M. Hipolito took home the bronze medal for the Snatch Category.

Consul General Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian met with the Philippine delegation and thanked them for their dedication, excellence, and for bringing honor to the country despite the challenges of the pandemic and being away from home.

The Philippine delegation is composed of six athletes. Mr. Albert Ian A. Delos Santos, Mr. Adrian E. Cristobal, and Mr. Christian E. Rodriguez represented the Philippines for the male category while the female category were represented by Ms. Rose Jean A. Ramos, Ms. Jeaneth M. Hipolito, and Ms. Lovely V. Inan. Coach Mr. Allen Jayfrus A. Diaz and Ms. Roselle Destura accompanied the group in Jeddah in the said competition.
The IWF-YWC was held on 05-12 October 2021 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah, KSA. - END
