Chef Ramil demonstrated how to make the staple breakfast of many Filipinos, the pandesal. He featured two kinds of healthy pandesal, namely the malunggay and squash pandesal.

Jeddah PCG Consul and Acting Head of Post Mary Jennifer D. Dingal said that pandesal is the timeless food of Filipinos because of its availability and affordability. “Anyone can eat pandesal, and you can enjoy various flavors such as ube, malunggay, potato, kalabasa, etc. or simply add your favorite bread spread. Pandesal is also very popular in Saudi Arabia with the Filipino bakeries put up here. We hope everyone can appreciate the rich culinary treasures of the Philippines through our activities,” Consul Dingal added.
