JEDDDAH PCG TO FEATURE ADOBO WITH A TWIST IN CELEBRATION OF FILIPINO FOOD MONTH

12 April 2021, Jeddah – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah joins the whole Filipino community in celebrating Filipino Food Month or Buwan ng Kalutong Filipino with a live cooking show on 16 April 2021, 7:00 P.M, featuring Master Chef Roger Cabacang, owner and founding member of the International Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management (ICCAHM).

The cooking show Amazing Adobo: From Version 1 to Sawa will showcase all-time favorite Filipino dish adobo and different ways of cooking it, much to the gustatory delight of Filipino and non-Filipino adobo lovers.

The activity will also invite internationally renowned chefs based in Jeddah, KSA, to give their take on the popular dish.

This year’s Filipino Food Month celebration has the theme “Iba’t ibang Luto, Pinoy ang Puso,” and aims to celebrate, promote and preserve local cuisines and the culinary traditions that come with it. In this time of pandemic, the celebration will also give thanks to the various heroes that help make food available and accessible to the Filipinos.
