Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah Officially Launches VFS ePassport Renewal Center Jeddah (PaRC-Jeddah)
Jeddah, 05 October 2020 - The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah today officially launched the ePassport Renewal Center Jeddah (PaRC-Jeddah) at the VFS Global Office located at the Al Mohammadiya District in Jeddah. The launch is the culmination of months of intense preparation and close coordination between the Philippine Consulate General and VFS Global-Jeddah as the third-party service provider for the passport renewal services.

At the press conference held after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Consul General Edgar B. Badajos emphasized that PaRC-Jeddah is an alternative passport renewal site. "This means that OFWs in the western region of Saudi Arabia can continue renewing their passports at the Philippine Consulate General in its current location, if they wish to," Consul General Badajos added.
As an alternative passport renewal site, PaRC-Jeddah offers innovations and flexibilities that have not been available before.

“Foremost of these innovations and flexibilities are PaRC-Jeddah’s expanded operating days and hours, and its spacious and air-conditioned waiting and processing areas.” Consul General Badajos further stated.
PaRC-Jeddah is open to process passport renewal applications from Saturday to Thursday, 8:00AM to 8:00PM. This expanded hours of operation is a convenient alternative to Filipinos who encounter difficulties in renewing their passports during the Consulate’s regular work hours of Sunday to Thursday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
Three (3) passport renewal applications, including that of Consul General Badajos, were processed at PaRC-Jeddah today in preparation for its full operations starting on 06 October 2020. “The whole process, from getting an appointment and filling up the online application form, until the actual processing and encoding of the passport at PaRC-Jeddah was easy and convenient.” Consul General Badajos said of his experience.

The establishment of PaRC-Jeddah in collaboration with VFS Global Jeddah is in line with the current Administration's thrust to streamline procedures in frontline services and make transactions more convenient to the public. It is likewise aligned with efforts to regulate the number of clients at the Consulate conformably with Saudi government regulations regarding limitations on public gatherings.
The charges for passport renewal services at PaRC Jeddah is composed of the Passport Fee of SAR 240.00 plus the VFS Service Fee of SAR 103.00 for a total of SAR 343.00.
