Jeddah PCG opens first-ever Child-Minding Room and
Toy Library for Clients and Bahay Kalinga
Female Wards with Minor Children
(Jeddah, 11 March 2020) – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah in cooperation with the Office of the Social Welfare Attache and the Jeddah-based teachers’ organization, Philippine International Schools Teachers Association (PISTA), recently inaugurated the first-ever Child-Minding Room and Toy Library for babies/children of female wards at the Bahay Kalinga and consular clients.
The Consulate Child-Minding Room and Toy Library provides a safe, secure and healthy space where the children can develop their social, emotional and communication skills while waiting for their parents. It is equipped with children’s books, educational toys, learning tools, board games, stuffed toys, and tables and chairs. It also serves as a breast-feeding and changing room for the babies of the Consulate’s clients.
