Jeddah PCG praises young Filipino dancers for great talent and strong fighting spirit

Jeddah, 9 March 2020 – Consul General Edgar B. Badajos praised the young Filipino dancers for their gracefulness that reflects the Filipino virtue of equanimity under duress, and their awe-inspiring confidence and fighting spirit in participating in a major competition that tested both their skills and character. Those confidence-boosting remarks Consul General Badajos gave during the 3rd DanceSport Challenge on 7 March organized by Nothern Samar International, a group of Samareños in Jeddah, KSA.

“Dance is a form of self-expression that communicates one’s emotions when words fail. Your skills and talents are testament of the immense talents of the Filipinos in the field of performance arts. However, we all dance to the dance of life, and despite our triumphs and loses, our every move is still a move forward towards the achievement of our goals. We just have to keep on going,” Consul General Badajos said as he reminded both the winners and non-winners to celebrate their feat.

The DanceSport was participated in by Filipino children and young adults aged 7 -15, and were grouped in two (2) dance categories namely, Juvenile and Junior Category. The judges rated the skills and techniques of the contestants in dancing chacha, rhumba, and jive. ---END---
