Consulate General in Jeddah Renders Consular Mobile Services For Filipinos in the Southwestern City of Abha and Neighboring Areas
Jeddah, 26 December 2019- As part of its mandate to deliver consular services to Filipinos under its jurisdiction, a team from the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah rendered Consular Mobile Services (CMS) for Filipinos in the Southwestern City of Abha and neighboring areas in the Aseer region of Saudi Arabia on 19-21 December.
In total, the consular team processed 509 passport applications, 73 notarials and authentication services, and 145 other consular services.
Representatives from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Office of the Social Welfare Attache, Pag-IBIG, Social Security System also joined the consular mission to offer their respective services. A separate team from the Consulate’s Assistance-to-Nationals Section replied to queries and requests for assistance from concerned OFWs.
The consular mission ended on a successful note with the support and cooperation of members of the Filipino community in Abha led by Mr. Virgilio Crisostomo who works at King Khalid University in Abha. END

Jeddah PCG’s consular services also included an Assistance-to-Nationals Desk headed by Vice-Consul
Alfred Kristoffer Guiang, where distressed OFWs may consult and seek assistance from the Consulate.
OFWs wait in line to avail themselves of the services provided by the Consulate’s
attached agencies SSS, Pag-Ibig, DSWD, and POLO/OWWA.
