Jeddah PCG lauds Filipino culinary arts group in Jeddah for opening alternative career opportunities for OFWs
Jeddah, 2 December 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG) recognized the efforts of Filipino culinary arts group International Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management (ICCAHM) in providing a venue for overseas Filipino workers to acquire skills in culinary arts and hospitality management.
In his short message during ICCAHM’s second year founding anniversary celebration on 29 November, Jeddah PCG Vice-Consul Alfred Kristoffer Guiang lauded the efforts of the group in opening alternative career opportunities for Filipinos in the Kingdom. The additional skills gave its graduates another career option, either as chefs or in opening their own catering services in the Kingdom or back in the Philippines.
The event was attended by more than 200 alumni of the Center, renowned celebrity chef Mr. Thomas Gugler of the World Association of Chefs’ Society, and Filipino community leaders.– END --
