Jeddah PCG halls to have more “color” with photographs from Kulay

Jeddah, 10 November 2019 – To help further brighten up the interior of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG), and to highlight the positive relationship between the Consulate and Filipino artists in the Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kulay Philippine Photographers Community (KULAY), a group of multi-awarded and highly-acclaimed Filipino photographers in KSA, donated on 7 November more than a dozen framed photographs from their collection to Jeddah PCG.

The photographs depict picturesque landscapes in both the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. They are part of the recently concluded A Fusion of Cultures Photography Exhibit held at the Consulate Hall on 26-31 October 2019, in commemoration of the golden anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. Among the Philippines and Saudi landmarks featured in the photographs include Vigan, the Bangui Windmills in Ilocos Norte, Al-Balad, and the Bicycle Roundabout in Jeddah.

Consul General Edgar B. Badajos thanked the officers of Kulay for their support to the Consulate and in its cultural activities. He said that the photographs will be displayed in public areas of the Consulate to serve as inspiration and source of hope especially to distressed OFWs. –END—
