CONSUL GENERAL OF AFGHANISTAN CALLS ON

PHILIPPINE CONSUL GENERAL IN JEDDAH

Consul General Badajos and Consul General Ibrahimi

(Jeddah, 5 November 2019) – His Excellency Dr. Shir Mohammad Ibrahimi, the new Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Jeddah to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called on Consul General Edgar Badajos today, 5 November 2019.

During their meeting, Consul General Badajos and Consul General Ibrahimi exchanged views on matters of common concern, including consular matters and recent developments in the Kingdom affecting foreign workers. According to Consul General Ibrahimi, there are an estimated 400,000 Afghan nationals in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah looks after the welfare of more than 360,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the Western Region.

Consul General Ibrahimi was previously assigned in New Delhi for three (3) years.
