Jeddah PCG supports Filcom Bowling and Alumni Homecoming activities
Jeddah, 28 October 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG) supported various Filipino Community (FilCom) activities, in its goal to help solidify the camaraderie and cooperation of Filipinos in Jeddah through their fellowship and get-together activities. Vice-Consul Alfred Kristoffer Guiang represented Jeddah PCG during the Bowling Fun Game organized by Filcom Organization Guardians Forever and Arabian Scorpions Chapter- Jeddah, and the Alumni Homecoming of Filipino-run Total Care International on 11 October and 18 October 2019, respectively.
The Bowling Fun Game, which was held at the Iceland Bowling Center in Jeddah gathered around 300 Filipinos from various organizations to participate in a friendly bowling tournament that would strengthen Filipinos’ sense of oneness and community. Vice-Consul Guiang urged the Filipino community to continue organizing similar activities that promote harmonious relations among Filipinos in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Total Care International (TCI), a Filipino healthcare training institution based in Jeddah, on the other hand, converged hundreds of graduates of its healthcare and allied programs since it was first established in 2008. Vice-Consul Guiang commended TCI for continuously providing excellent healthcare training for Filipinos in the Kingdom. He said that the additional skills provided by TCI over the years have given its graduates a chance to find alternative employment opportunities in KSA and in other countries. –END-
