Jeddah PCG Conducts Consular Mobile Services (CMS) for Filipinos in Yanbu

 

(Jeddah, 28 October 2019) - As part of its mandate to deliver consular services to Filipinos under its jurisdiction, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah rendered Consular Mobile Services (CMS) for Filipinos in Yanbu on October 25 - 26. The CMS was held at the Hayat Redhwa Hotel in Yanbu. Yanbu is located in the Madina Al-Munawarrah region of Saudi Arabia where an estimated 60,000 Filipinos reside based upon numbers released by the Saudi Ministry of Interior.

Applicants for various consular services wait for their turn to be served
by the Consular Team.

The Consular Team successfully processed close to 350 passport applications and more than a hundred requests for legalization of documents.

Representatives from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Pag-IBIG, Social Security System, and the Office of the Social Welfare Attache (SWAT) also joined the consular mission to offer their respective services. A separate team from the Consulate’s Assistance-to-Nationals Section replied to queries and requests for assistance from distressed OFWs.

With the assistance of local Filipino community volunteers led by Mr. Jose B. Castillo III, the Consular Team successfully conducted the CMS, Jeddah PCG’s second in Yanbu for 2019.
