Jeddah PCG partners with Effat University for the Arabic Language Program for its personnel
Jeddah, 22 October 2019 – In an effort to enhance effectiveness of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG) personnel in dealing with government and private entities in the Kingdom to deliver better services to OFWs, Jeddah PCG, through a grant from the Foreign Service Institute, the training and capacity-building arm of the Department of Foreign Affairs, will enroll around 17 of its personnel to Effat University in Jeddah to its Basic Arabic Language Course.
The Arabic language training will provide personnel with basic understanding of Arabic which may aid in easier transactions either with public offices, private companies, or individuals in Jeddah and the other areas in the Western Region, which are hoped to reap better results especially in Assistance to Nationals cases where constant follow-up and correspondences with the Saudi Police, local courts, and immigration offices, among other are necessary. – END –
