Jeddah-based OFWs finish vocational programs,

urged to be entrepreneurs

Jeddah, 8 September 2019 –Several OFWs in Jeddah completed their vocational training and received on 6 September their certificates of completion for the massage therapy and reflexology, hair and beauty culture, and tailoring courses. The graduates, who hold regular jobs, underwent three months of training conducted by Kapit-Bisig OFW, a Jeddah-based Filipino community group.

Consul General Edgar B. Badajos commended the graduates for using their rest days to acquire additional vocational skills. He likewise urged them to save capital and use it to set up their own businesses back in the Philippines. “Rather than being workers for ever, you have to think big; once you have your own capital, go back to the Philippines, and set-up your own spa, salons, and tailor shops there. Be entrepreneurs!” Consul General Badajos added. - END -PR 72A
