Departing Jeddah PCG personnel find Consulate work hard but fulfilling, call for continued public service among Consulate personnel

18 July 2019- Three personnel of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah whose tours of duty at the Consulate are ending this month said that work at Jeddah PCG is hard but also fulfilling.

Departing personnel Assistant Administrative Officer Avelino “Jun” Munji, Jr., Collecting Officer Nilo Buenaseda, and PCG-POLO Administrative Staff Daisy Alilio, during the Consulate’s 3rd Quarter General Assembly on 17 July, said that the volume of work and the gravity of cases handled by the Consulate on a daily basis is challenging and at times stressful. However, helping OFWs in Jeddah and the Western Region in their various needs and concerns makes the work fulfilling and meaningful, they added.

“Aside from the emotionally rewarding work of helping fellow Filipinos in the Kingdom in their varying concerns, the recognition by the Department of Foreign Affairs of Jeddah PCG as ‘Best Organization’ makes all the effort ‘worth it’”, Mr. Buenaseda said.

Mr. Munji encouraged Jeddah PCG’s personnel to continue assisting distressed Filipinos in the region, and to be patient at all times.

Consul General Edgar Badajos lauded the tireless efforts of the three (3) personnel during their stint at the Consulate. He handed out plaques of appreciation to them in recognition of their exemplary work. -END-
