Filipinos in Jeddah to have a Taste of Home in First Filipino Food Festival

(31 March 2019, Jeddah) – Filipinos in Jeddah can expect to have a taste of home when the first-ever Filipino Food Festival will be held on 6 April 2019 at the Atallah Happy Land Park, North Corniche; at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

On that day, Jeddah’s favorite Filipino restaurants will whip up some of the Philippines’ native dishes and delicacies for OFW families and other patrons who will be trooping to the park for Mabuhay Manila! Sama Saya sa Happy Land sa Jeddah!, a day-long celebration featuring matinee idol Mr. Piolo Pascual in a solo concert later in the evening.

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah organized the Filipino Food Festival in cooperation with the management of Atallah Happy Land Park to commemorate the Philippine Food Month which is held annually every April.

The Consulate has invited the famous Filipino restaurants in Jeddah to prepare popular Filipino dishes like Adobo, Kare-Kare, La Paz Batchoy and Chicken Piaparan, among many others. The Filipino Food Festival guarantees “a taste of home” in every bite!
