Public Advisory no. 09-2016

The Philippine Consulate General would like to inform our Kababayans in the Western Region of the Kingdom that the voting period for registered voters is from 09 April to 09 May 2016. The voting shall be held at the Consulate General in Jeddah on a daily basis, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except 09 May 2016, during which the voting shall only be until 12:00 p.m. This will again be an opportunity to participate in choosing the leaders who will manage the invaluable economic contribution of OFWs to the country and the Filipino people.

Our Kababayan's are advised to check their names in the Certified List of Overseas Voters (CLOV) posted on the Consulate's website or on the bulletin board on the ground floor of the Consulate. OFWs are further advised to bring a copy of their passports or any valid identification card bearing his or her photograph when voting for verification purposes.

The Philippine Consulate General would also like to request the support of the Filipino Community in disseminating this information to our Kababayans in the Western Region during gatherings and through social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and other available Internet-based technologies. The support of the Filipino community will help make the elections more meaningful, credible and effective by ensuring the widest participation of OFWs.

Our Kababayans are encouraged to vote in the 2016 elections to support our nation building efforts in strengthening Philippine democracy. Your vote counts in determining the future of our country.
