Public Advisory No. 06-2016

The Philippine Consulate General would like to inform the public that all Filipino Communities (FilComs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), or Civil Society Organization (CSOs) are recognized as partners of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in implementing the overseas voting per COMELEC Resolution no. 100036 dated 13 January 2016.
They may be accredited by and work with the COMELEC as partners on overseas voters’ education and to participate in the electoral process for the purpose of ensuring free, clean, honest and fair conduct of the elections. They shall be strictly non-partisan and impartial during the election process.
All parties interested to be accredited must submit the following:
- A duly accomplished Accreditation Application Form, which may be downloaded from the Comelec website at http://www.comelec.gov.ph and DFA website at http://dfa-oavs.gov.ph. The form is also available at the 3rd Floor of the Consulate General;
- List of officers and members including their addresses and contact numbers; and
- Photocopies of valid IDs of officers and members.
Applications for accreditation shall be filed at the 3rd Floor of the Consulate General in Jeddah.
The non-extendible period for filing applications for accreditation shall be from 01 February 2016 to 31 March 2016. Applications filed after the last day for filing shall not be entertained.
