UPDATE ON TRANSIT POLICY OF SINGAPORE
as of 28 May 2021
Jeddah, 01 June 2021 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wishes to inform the Filipino community under its jurisdiction and the general public that, effective 29 May 2021, pre-departure testing (PDT) will be required from travelers entering or transiting through Singapore, including Singapore citizens and permanent residents.
All transiting travelers will have to present a valid (i.e. taken within 72 hours prior departure) negative PDT at all air, sea and land checkpoints. Transiting passengers without a negative PDT may be refused permission to board their flight to Singapore or deported to the country of origin.
Exempted from the PDT requirement are travelers who have stayed in lower-risk countries/regions (e.g. Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Mainland China, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Macao) throughout the last 21 days before departure for Singapore.
Please be guided accordingly.
