OPM Songs featured in Himig Pinoy Concert

06 September 2021, Jeddah – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG) featured Original Pilipino Music (OPM) songs in a concert dubbed “Himig Pinoy” held on 2 September 2021 at the Golden Wok Restaurant in Jeddah.

The concert showcased Filipino music performed by Jeddah-based Filipino singers and musicians, as well as some Jeddah PCG personnel.

In her message, Jeddah PCG Acting Head Consul Mary Jennifer D. Dingal said that the Himig Pinoy Concert is a celebration of Filipino arts, culture, and psyche as reflected in our songs and music. “Music is a window to a people’s culture, which forms part of our country’s identity. Our music is our heritage, and the beauty and richness of our culture is something all Filipinos should be proud of, wherever we are in the world,” Consul Dingal added.
